My friend hosted her birthday get together/game night at this lounge this past Saturday. It was a rainy weekend and for a Saturday, this bar was pretty empty. The staff were nice, it was only two people working in there. The bar is a decent size and decorated nicely. They have several large TVs mounted on the back wall and above the bar. There's two private rooms as well to host events and we had one of the rooms. They do not serve food at this location but they did allow us to bring food from the outside. The bathroom was also nice and clean.

Came here on a Friday night and had a good time. Our group of 7 ordered a variety of drinks and each drink tasted really good. The bartenders really know what they are doing. The place is very cozy and spacious. Great for big groups. We had a chance to play pool and a couple other games for the 3 hours we were there for. Giving it a 4/5 due to the crappy DJ. Not sure what he was doing but the music selection sucked. Other than that, I think this a good spot to hang out!

Sportsman's is a nice spot for a dj and a drink. They have a good Happy Hour on Saturdays and you can reserve a party room for a nice group of up to 16ish. The bartenders and waitresses are friendly and can make a good drink. They don't have food but allow you to bring outside food in with no problems. A cool spot for a drink date. They have a game night during the week too that's always fun.

Came in on Wednesday. Place was super cool, ambiance was very chill and welcoming. They have pool, darts and a couple other games. Plenty of space and different rooms to hang out in. Bartenders were super cool. Definitely worth checking out!

Before Sportsman's, it was the Kings Head. Before that, Tobin's Lounge. I went to the Kings Head for just about every Super Bowl the last 10 years. I wasn't going to end it. Instead, I'd give the Sportsman's a try. It reminds me a lot like Kings Head, but a lot more cleaner and lively. They did add a lot more TV's. The staff is also pretty friendly. They made sure my drinks were taken care of. From what I see, they got a DJ on the weekends. If anything, they're trying to give Energy Corridor folks a reason not to travel far for a cool hip place to have a few drinks and unwind without the "dive bar" atmosphere.

GO TO THIS BAR!!! I dropped by yesterday for drinks with coworkers and was pleasantly surprised. They've remodeled it so beautifully and it really has the potential to be a vibe! Apparently they have karaoke sometimes so I'll be back for that. They also have Whiskey Wednesdays with $5 whiskey so if you're into that, check them out. They do not serve food but FlipNPatties is nearby and they will walk your food over to you. I believe they also have other food vendors outside sometimes too. If you're in the Energy Corridor area looking for a new hang out spot, look no further! Too often we travel 20-30 minutes in search of a night out when you can hang out in West Houston and have a great time. This is a beautiful place and they need to build their customer base so I'm doing my part to help!
